This is an Embedded Control and Mechatronics Course for Senior Undergraduated (specifically ECE 456) created by Farzad Pourboghrat at Southern Illinois University.
After and introduction, linear and nonlinear modeling of physical systems, simulation, and system identification, are addressed in the first part of the course.
Closed loop analysis and control systesis techniques and tools (Lead-Lag, LQR, SISOTool, PID, Simulink Design Optimization, LQG) are explained next.
The controllers are implemented in hardward using both Arduino and dsPIC, following the examples in both lectures and labs.
