Wingdings in Matlab GUI

Hello,

I am trying to access the arrow fonts using Wingdings, but I see only
small rectangles on the uicontrol (pushbutton). My command is:

set(handles.pushbutton,'FontName','Wingdings','String',char(231))

and I also used the native2unicode(char(231)) command, and I still see
small rectangles. I also noticed that in the "Preference - Font" menu,
the sample text is all displayed in small rectangles as well. I have
also looped through all possible characters and still only get small
rectangles. Is Wingdings somehow not installed in my Matlab properly?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
