Hello
Recently I have observed that if you search for particular
strings in the search box here at MatlabCentral it gives
an error as shown below.

"We're sorry, but your search was not executed because the
term "vc" is a common term that is not indexed for
searching. Please try your search again with a different,
more specific term."

Now I want to search all the posts related to VC++ , but
the search does not accept my request.
So, how do I search for any posts that are on vc++, 3D,
CT/MRI, etc..
Regards
Vihang

Vihang -

Try using a tag search. In Newsreader, use the large search
box directly under the breadcrumb, try putting in tag:vc.
This does pull up threads that has been tagged as vc
related. It also works for 3d and mri, but it does not look
like anyone has used the tag ct yet.

I'm not sure why search is not finding the term when you do
a general search, but I will look into this.

hths,

Hello
Yes I do use the tag facility, but then, I am also loosing a
lot of potential search where the user has not been using
tags. The earlier search engine was much better, I think.
