> Does matlab 2007b 64 bit have a built in compiler? When I
> do "mbuild -setup" and locate installed compilers, none are
> shown. If not how do I get one? Thanks.

Matlab 2007b 64 bit does not have a built in compiler. Here
is part of an email I sent to Matlab UK complaining about this:

"Dear Clive,

I am well aware of the compilers that Matlab supports, but
they all cost a lot of money:

1. Microsoft Visual Studio(with C++) 2005 SP1 V 8 Prof Ed at
$800
2. Intel C++ V 9.1 Latest Version 10.1 at $600
3. Intel Visual Fortran V 9.1 Latest version 10.1
(standard) at $600 or (professional = standard + MKL 10.1)
at $700.

Intel offers Intel? Compiler Suite Professional Edition for
Windows*

Includes Intel? C++ Compiler, Intel? Visual Fortran
Compiler, Intel? Threading Building Blocks,
Intel? Math Kernel Library, and Intel? Integrated
Performance Primitives at $1000.

Intel compilers need Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 SP1
Professional Edition (64- and 32-bit)."

As you can see the only compilers that Matlab 2007b 64 bit
supports will cost you a lot of money.
