open a pdf file to the GUI

i'm working on an OCR project .. and was wondering if anyone
knows how to open a pdf file to the GUI.

any help would be appreciated.

What do you mean by "open a pdf file" in this context?
Matlab does not have any routines to display PDF files itself.
You could call upon an external application to display the
postscript file, such as by using system().

If it was your hope to be able to read and process images that
are stored in PDF files, then Sorry, at least as of 2007a there
are no Matlab facilities to process PDF files as inputs.

i was hoping i could read and process pdf file in matlab yes.

there's a function in the activeX that does it i think ..
but i dunno how to work with activeX :S .. it's too
complicated for me as a begginer

but thanx anyway
