Hi!

I am new to matlab and I would like to know if there is an option to draw a graph and import it into matlab and get the coresponding points (x,y) out of it. For example I have a graph and I need to get the points that define it out of it in order to get it mathematicaly evaluated and write them into a matrix.

Thanks for your replies.

Hi, what do you mean exactly by 'draw a graph'? in what form would this graph be in? as a picture? if so, then perhaps there are some image processing functions which can extract the line.

However, I would have thought that it would be easier to just read the graph yourself, take some coordinate points, and recreate the graph in matlab. Interpolation techniques could then be used to fit a curve to the data. Can you provide an example of the graph you have?
