GUI output handles list into another GUI

Hi, I have searched for hours through the net and this forum, but can't seem to find anything that I can get to work.

I have a GUI figure which has a button which then opens up another GUI figure where other options are set. I have a handles list which is correct in the second GUI, but I can't pass it back to the first GUI. How can I pass the whole list? Thanks in advance.
