How to set two sets of x axis labels?

Hi all,

I am not sure whether this is easy or not. But I am trying to plot y vs x. Because y is changing fast with x. So it is worth plotting. In the mean time, I also want to deal with z. However, z is changing slowly with x. Therefore, I want to choose some typical values and put them under the x axis (just text). It looks like the x axis has two sets of labels. I do not know how to do that in MATLAB. Please tell me if you know.

Have you tried plotyy?

There are other of these types of files on the FEX too. I think I saw a plotxx there once.
