Hi All,

I am using Matlab version 7.5.0.342(R2007b), I have the curve fitting tool but for some reason I don't have the surface fitting tool. Does anyone know why this is or how I can get it? Our institute recently upgraded our license so if need be I could reinstall a newer version.

Regards and thanks,
Yes, but the surface fitting tool did not come out with
your release. You need a newer release to get that.
> Hi All,
>
> I am using Matlab version 7.5.0.342(R2007b), I have the curve fitting tool
> but for some reason I don't have the surface fitting tool. Does anyone
> know why this is or how I can get it?

Because the surface fitting capability of Curve Fitting Toolbox was
introduced in Curve Fitting Toolbox 2.0 (R2009a), as described in the
Release Notes:

http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/curvefit/rn/brybx2q-1.html

which is newer than the release you have.

> Our institute recently upgraded our license so if need be I could
> reinstall a newer version.

In order to access the Surface Fitting Tool, you would need to install
release R2009a of MATLAB and Curve Fitting Toolbox.
