Blob Analysis Interval?

I'm using Blob Analysis to count and enumerate images and i was wondering if it is possible to only active blob analysis at timed/no.of.frame intervals to decrease processing time instead of tracking objects the whole time.

ps. using SimuLink for this program.

thanks for the reply.

but i'm looking more at letting the blob analysis run only at certain periodic interval.
rather than letting it run all the time. frame rate display only displays the framerate.

isit possible to count the white pixels of BW data and use that to trigger a delay before the blob analysis?

Jingwei,

Consider placing Blob Analysis block inside an enabled or triggered subsystem. Look for those
subsystems in main Simulink library called Ports & Subsystems.

BTW. Rather than counting the white pixels, have a look at the Blob Properties tab and the
min/max blob area settings. This block is designed to look at the area first and if it's below
and/or above a certain threshold, it quits any further processing. Perhaps you don't need an
enabled subsystem afterall?
