I know you're only venting, but couldn't help myself... :)

I suspect most if not all of this is done by 'bots, anyway, and probably 
simply looking for/keeping track of usenet groups w/ higher traffic 
totals, not subject matter...

As for origin/location, I guess it might show he's _not_ from Lake 
Woebegone... :)
