In what matter a "central frequency" is involved in the computation of a
gaussian filter of an image?
I must implement a laplacian pyramid and I need to use those numbers to
decompose an image:

2.81, 5.62, 11.25, 22.5, 45 et 90 cycles by image

Must I use a 5x5 sized gaussian kernel?
