A publication I am working on requires that all figures be of a certain size
(say 8 cm wide). How do I specify this in my output ?

I have recently found a script named savefig.m on Matlab's central file
exchange. Very handy utility for producing eps files with tight bounding
boxes etc. but how does one specify the physical size of the image ?
