I tried out the new beta 64-bit release for the Mac OS X. On my Powerbook 
(2.33 ghz, Core 2 Duo, 3 gig), sadly, performance leaves a lot to be desired still. 

Here are my bench numbers:

I can't understand why the graphics routine is *so* slow. Anyone try this beta?
