Hey, Thanks Very Much.

This helps a lot.

I just recently did a test of Ubuntu's 64bit OS from the Live CD (for you who don't know, it is run from the CD, not the Hard disk) I was able to get a great performance gain out of Folding@Home with that over my Windows OS (XP). Exact same hardware here. I am not sure to the specifics. I could do a full out test, but I anyone reading this wants to know about just performance then Linux Bases Distributions are the way to go, but it could all depend on what you want or If you even have the know-how to do it.

Thanks again much Suresh.
This forum has been of much help, by the way, it is one of the first things that come up when you search for "Vista 64 vs Linux 64" under google!

Thanks,
