Francois,
 It is regretable youve got therse problems but aren't you putting the blame a little to fast on MATLAB.
 I mean have you even tried to fins out why your having these problems? I know that most people can run matlab for at least several hours without crashes (atleast up to 8 hours at which there systems are turned off so I can't be sure about longer).

Also Windows it self is not known for its stabilitie so what is the last time you did a fresh install of that?

furter as a tip I can tell you to keep all of the tempory files and caches clean and as empty as possible. that often does more than the above.

Last I don't think this is the place to shoutout you don't like MatLab. your entitled to your opinion ofc but I would recommand first talking to the MathWorks support staff.
