A company with a product as widely used as MATLAB will most likely be working mainly on bug fixes and User requested changes. as for people not using / buying Microsoft products, thats a bad analogy. mainly becouse OEM'

no Ali, not in a 'Production' environment. we write code that 'actually' works in real-time, 24x7.

so what dept of matlab do you work in?

i'm surprised you didn't try to mention a solution that involved buying some kind of expensive toolbox.

i don't thrust anything down people's throat, i express my many years of hard-core engineering experience in the 'real world' not some cushy "Production" software environment where they have no clue about the 'real' world usage. i express them directly and to the point.

you are free to interpret that however you like but don't even begin to try and lecture me on 'shoving down people throat'.

if you look at my posts in replies to people's question, mine are 95% correct.

so i will continue to express myself, so piss off, the usenet is free for anyone to post.

take a hint if you see a post with my name DON"T read it, if it offends your sensitivities.

if i see a post of yours that is lame or fails to the point, i will post a answer that rips your apart.
