Yes, and I have mentioned market and inflation. But don't get me
wrong, that's not even a criticism to Matlab: I have nothing against
OO programming and methodologies, they surely have their strengths and
intelligence, I am only referring to their mis-use/abuse.

In any case, that was a side issue. The point of contention was this
assertion: "object-oriented methods are of limited use in complex
algorithms". Maybe just a little bit "weak", because, as informal as
it is, I would agree, for the reason I have explained before, i.e.
that OO has properly nothing to do with problems of algorithmic
complexity.
