Hi, I've used Matlab a lot in the past for DSP and Image processing projects however I have an interest in what matlabs capabilities are with position and acceleration acquisition. I'd like to find some gyroscopes and accelerometers that can be used with matlab. Anyone have any experience with this? 

I'm basically looking for some hardware (preferably smaller) that I could hook up to some moving test equipment, take data and transmit it to matlab. I suppose that would be done through a usb connection. 

If anyone can help me out with what is good for matlab and direct me to some hardware that would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys
