I am in need of implementing Minimum description length (MDL)
algorithm to code in MATLAB. I will be grateful if anyone can provide
me the codes, or help me in this regard.

Thodberg did a good work and I know that source code was
free at http://www.imm.dtu.dk/∼hht but the website is no
longer available.
Anyone knows where I can get that code?
