I saw that someone already asked this but there was no response.

Does anyone know if it is possible to read in .emf files with Matlab?
 The 'imread' function doesn't support that file format.

I believe you need to convert the .emf file to some other format, like .png
or .jpg if you want to work with it in MATLAB.

That's what it looks like. Although all the .emf capable file
conversion tools look to be proprietary. Does anyone know if MATLAB
developers plan to include .emf importing in the next gen product?

have you had a look at imagemagick? didn't come across an image format
this tool couldn't handle...
