pcolor (in flat or faceted mode) clips off a row and a column of the viewed
matrix. The data on the edge of my matrix is important, and I want to see
it.. However image, which shows all the data, does not let you specify
arbitrary x and y for, say, a curvilinear grid.

Has anybody written a modification to pcolor which behaves more like image?
That is, just like pcolor, with *all* the rows and columns displayed, with
each cell centered about the x and y coordinates, like it is in image?
Thanks.

Hi,

this is an old thread, but has anyone figured it out yet?

I found a workaround to include the last row/column of data:
extend the matrix with NaNs before plotting
(http://researchpages.net/media/resources/2007/10/21/course3.pdf)

But I would still like to align the x/y ticks with the middle of the data it belongs to.
