There is probably a rather simple solution to my problem, but help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I keep getting the following error message in matlab: "NI-DAQ: The specified device ID is invalid." However, I can see the NI-DAQ PCI6025E card using the NI-DAQ Configuration Utility and am definitely entering the correct device ID number.

Additionally, this system was working for me earlier, and after a period of about a month in which matlab was not used (and other programs were installed) the above error is being generated.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Amrita.

What version of NIDAQ are you using? What version of MATLAB and Data Acquisition Toolbox?

Chances are that you have NI-DAQmx installed, and are using a version of MATLAB and Data Acquisition Toolbox from before R2006a, which is the first version that supports NI-DAQmx.

I have the traditional NI-DAQ package, and have installed the NI-DAQ Legacy 7.4.1 drivers. Additionally, I have matlab 7.1.

This very set-up was working perfectly before, so I'm not sure what's going...

Again, thanks for any help.

Amrita.

If I remember right, The traditional NI-DAQ drivers are not installed by default. Check your system information (under Help/System Information) in Measurement and Automation Explorer to ensure that you have Tranditional NI-DAQ installed.
