Thread Subject: Mathworks Newsreader awfully slow

I am accessing this Newsgroup over the Mathworks Newsreader
(newsreader.mathworks.com). Why is this so awfully slow? Opening or
posting a message takes several minutes (!), and I have a really
excellent internet connection. The rest of the Mathworks website
opens very quick.

How do you access the Newsgroup? groups.google.com is nice, but when
posting my Mail address will be shown in clear text, free for all
spammers. Do you know any other good web interface to
comp.soft-sys.matlab? Or do you use some software newsreader?

Try using this address instead.

It should work.

You may have been using the older interface that we are discontinuing. By shutting down the old interface, we believe we are closing the window of entry for much of the spam to the group. Also, the new interface gives you the ability to hide your email address and prevent further email spam to your account.
