I'm working on a gui that will open up some extra tools to
the bottom or side of the main figure, but I dont want
those tools to actually show up in the windows task bar,
because it clutters the taskbar and creates a
less "unified feel" anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Jason

Unless perhaps you dig into the Java level, Matlab tool buttons -must-
go in the window taskbar. But you could possibly hide them
temporarily by setting the Visible property to off.
