figure('Position',get(0,'Screensize'))

This doesn't maximize the window - only resizes it to the
screen size. And if the units are different then odd things
will happen...

For a real maximization, search the File Exchange - there
are several simple m-scripts that do this:

Thank you for your help.
Please, I don't know how to use your suggested command. My
GUI figure file name is "F_Try2.fig", and its tag, in the
property inspection, is "figure1".
