I'm trying to use audioplayer and audiorecorder to play a
tone through a system and back into my computer to test the
various audio properties of the system.

As a control, I'm trying to just do a loopback, ignoring the
system being tested. When using audioplayer/audiorecorder,
a pure sine wave turns into a strange chopped sine wave.
Instead of having nice rounded peaks, I get a funky sort of
combination sine/triangle wave, which would make any sort of
testing useless. When using wavplay/wavrecord I can get an
almost perfect recreation of the sine wave. However, I'm
attempting to use the audioplayer/audiorecorder functions as
they are easier to automate with the record/play/stop commands.

If anyone has any ideas on how to avoid this issue and still
use the audioplayer/audiorecorder functions please share you
knowledge. Currently these functions seem kind of useless
to me, unless I'm using them completely wrong.
