I would like to make a program that is able to recognise
emotions from a voice.

I assume the method is to make a spectogram of the voice and
then somehow see which frequencies are common in different
emotions. Comparison would probably be made with the vector
standard inner product, but still it is necessary to know
what to compare for the different emotions.

For this probably a big voice database is necessary. I will
probably not be able to gather one myself since the
resources are limited to say the least.

I found a couple of articles where they had succeded in
recognizing emotions for a single user.

However, then it seems they had to adapt the method to every
single user. Found this article:

But it seems that all potentially useful articles seems to
cost money, which I don't have an abundance of to spend on
something that might be useless.

I have three questions:
Is there anything ready-made that I could use?

Is there any voice database that can be downloaded for free
from somewhere?

Do you know any resource I could look into for information
about speaker independent voice emotion recognition?

It's rather tough questions, but if someone knows anything
about this I would be grateful for a reply.
