Use VPA (or if your expression contains no symbolic variables, use DOUBLE.)

Not if you're using symbolic objects. Displaying numbers as "real numbers"
wouldn't always accurately display the numbers with full precision (for
instance, displaying 1/3 as a "real number" only displays an approximation
to the quotient 1/3.)
