Thread Subject: marker edge/width size

Is there a way to set the width of the marker in a plot?
I'm not talking about the marker size but rather the
thickness of the line that makes the marker's edge.

My kluge of a solution is to plot twice, with slightly
different marker sizes.

The linewidth property effects marker edges.
