Thread Subject: locate not empty cell between empty cells

Hi forum,

Probably this is easy as hell but have been searching
through google and this forum for an hour now and can't
find the right answer.

I have splitted a string into multiple cells. Now I want a
certain cells location. Normally i would do this with
ismember but I need to select only a part of the cells
contents as only one part of the string in that cell is
constant. So i use strfind, but this gives me an array of
empty doubles and one with a double in it. How can I put
the location of that not empty cell in a variable?

str: 'Text1 text2a text3b'
str1 = regexp(str, '\ ', 'split')
x = strfind(str1, 'text2')
x: [] [1] []
