How to retrieve zoom level (x and y axis width)

Subject: How to retrieve zoom level (x and y axis width)

Hi,

Is it possible to keep the zoom "level" in a plot during
updating the plot (with new data)?

I.e. the user in my application has made a zoom in (+) and
would like to update the graph/plot with new data but would
like to keep the width of the x axis and the the y axis at
the "exact" zoom level as before making the update.

The aplication is made using GUIDE with a figure and an
axes where the plot is made.

I would very much appreciate if anyone could help me on
this matter.

Best regards,
Patric

The command "axis manual" does this.
