Thread Subject: Figure doesn't display until code has finished

I have this setup:

for xxx
   big calculuation
   plot result
end

However, I dont see anything display until the very end of
the for loop, at which time I see only the results of the
last iteration.

Is there a way to say "Force plot to display now"?

Use drawnow to force an update of figures.
