im suppose to do segmentation on a few golf images where i
have to segment the golf ball image only.my problem here is,
when i did the segmentation, i could not be able to detect
the exact golf ball, instead i get other images as well.
i used the threshold histogram method to do my segmentation.
how do i solve this problem.need help urgently.

Solving segmentation issues is not a simple and a straight
forward image processing solution and there is no fixed
way of dealing with such problems.
What I might suggest you, is to go for LabColor
segmentation procedures, very well explained in the Image
Processing ToolBox Demos and probably try to segment the
white ball. Or try using Hough Transformation to detect
circular objects and then segment out the circular golf
ball
All the best
