FYI to the 9,854 folks who downloaded the FEX function
MMPOLAR (FEX #6681) : The submission has been updated so
that it now works with TITLE and SUBPLOT. A few minor bugs
were fixed also.

Sadly, MMPOLAR seems to have disappeared from the File Exchange. Was this at the author's request, or just some malfunction of the web site?

I think all the Mastering Matlab files are available at
http://www.eece.maine.edu/mm/mm7.html

There's a bunch of good stuff there, but MMPOLAR isn't included. I don't think MMPOLAR was published in any of the Mastering Matlab books. I assume Duane is just in the habit of naming all his published scripts mmsomethingorother, regardless of whether they're in the book.

Are you sure? It's in contents.m for the toolbox, under Chapter 25?

Actually, I see it in p-file form in the toolbox

I can confirm that Duane indeed deleted all of is files from the File Exchange, and it is not a malfunctioning of the site.

By golly, there it is! I had only been looking in the MM7 section. Unfortunately for me, it's p-code, as you said. I was in the process of tinkering with MMPOLAR because, marvelous as it is (or was), it wasn't exactly what I needed.
Which is probably why Duane has decided to remove his code from the file exchange -- it's too good to give away for free and let people like me piggyback upon. <if desired, the reader may at this point launch into a 'Software wants to be free!' rant>. Oh well. Duly inspired, I guess I'll now go write my own code.

It would appear that you can (or at least could several years ago) register the toolbox ($30) to see the source. See this link.

Good thought. But now I'm all excited about writing my own routine anyway.
