Yes -- sloppy, ambiguous, and inconsistent wording is rampant in their
documentation. I agree with you. When I find it, I email it off to
support@themathworks.com (or whatever it is). They look over my
comment and say they'll review it for the next version. Let them know
about this one. What version were you referring to? R2008a?
