Can I use matlab webserver together with real-time
workshop and real-time windows target toolboxes? I have
tried many times and it does not work.

I found some information saying that "the real-time
windows target kernel preempts the operating system and
handles all of the interrupts, such as the ones that would
be used by internet protocols, Ethernet cards, or other
parts of that communications process. This means that you
cannot run both at the same time."

Yet I have read one paper saying that they can realize the
communication between matlab webserver and real-time
execution of simulink schemes.

So I am puzzling about this problem now. Can someone give
me some advice? Thanks very much!

Hi

I'm only familiar with simulink running in realtime mode
and in other applications using matlab webserver.

It's possible to send and recive states using UDP/IP from a
simulink model using extra modules that delays the
execution of the simulink model, making it run in pseudo-
realtime.

Secondly matlab webserver seems to not be avalible as a
toolbox with later matlab versions. But there are other
toolboxes that can interface matlab models to webservers.

It you intend to present states in your realtime model as
realtime plots or data on a web-page, you have to transfere
the states from your model to another application that can
present it as web pages.

Simulink running in pseudo realtime mode are discussed in
this "forum" and I belive there are also some treads
discussing web pages interacting with matlab.

As far as I know, support for HIL ( Hardware / Human In the
Loop ) are limites in simulink. It could be possible to use
other applications to run the HIL interface and interact
with simulink models runing in pseudo real time mode.

Most of this seems to be in the development phase and some
of the applications uses extended matworks products with
mostly GNU applications and tools.
