Hi,
I need to some how visualize a 3D data in an intuitive way
to watch.
the data is consisted of animals movements orientation in a
circle arena in continuous time.
I thought the best way to do this will be with a cylinder
shaped graph where X and Z axes represent the circle and Y
will be the time in the center of this cylinder.
problem is i can not figure out how to do it.
any suggestions?
Thanks ini

If you know the X, Y and Z values then does PLOT3 not do what you need?

Cheers

no, because I need it to be cylinder shaped so that
the orientation (in degrees) would make sense...

perhaps you want to normalize your (X,Y) data in a way that
sqrt(Xnorm^2+Ynorm^2)=1 while Xnorm/Ynorm=X/Y?

plot3(Xnorm,Ynorm,Time) could be what you need

good luck
