Thread Subject: Edge extraction

Hi
I need help with extracting edges of circles from an image.
I use well slides and I need to calculate intensities in
each well, I want to remove any intensities from the slides
itself. I tried to used edge command, I got the edges but
how do I ask Matlab to extract all data from a single ROI?

MATLAB has a nice tutorial on this (except for the "remove any
intensities from the slides itself" part) to demonstrate their image
processing toolbox. They find the intensities in each spot of an
array of spots on a well plate. Look around their website or the help
file for it, or ask someone who has the image processing toolbox for
it.

ImageAnalyst,
I found some tutorilas on the topic. I have the image
processing toolbox but it did not strike me to look through
it first. Thank you for your advice.
