Thread Subject: Matlab 7.0 (2004) & Vista

Does Matlab 7.0 (2004) version work with Windows Vista? I
have installed the 7.0 version on my computer and try to
start it up, then as soon as it opens, it proceeds to close
on its own. Why is this?

It is not supported.

There were a couple of different issues; probably the most common
is in getting a working BLAS for the system. Search the archives
for BLAS Vista -- e.g.,

I cannot vouch for MATLAB 7.0 (2004) and of course I do not
know which other versions of MATLAB may be available to you,
but I am running MATLAB 7.1.0.246 (R14) Service Pack 3 (Aug
2, 2005) under MS Windows Vista without any known problems.

Windows Vista Home premium Basic 32 bit edition.
