I'm having a problem with the legend overlapping the x-label (and
sometimes x-tick labels) when trying to use the SouthOutside legend
location. I'm currently using Matlab 2008a but recall this same
problem in previous 2007 versions and perhaps in 2006 as well. Don't
think i tried it before then. The overlap occurs invariably to some
degree regardless of what I do but it's not consistent (e.g. sometimes
just barely overlapping the bottom of the x-label text, while other
times completely overlapping x-label as well as partially overlapping
x-tick labels). I saw a previous post regarding this issue from
awhile back but didn't see any responses. It's kind of disappointing
that this has not been addressed by now (unless it's somehow related
to my computer, but I've tried it on at least one other machine and
saw the same thing). I tried manually repositioning the legend a
little lower to resolve the issue but the axes automatically resizes
as soon as I move it and then I can no longer position the legend
outside at all. All the other "Outside" legend locations work fine,
unfortunately I don't really care for any of them. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Aaron
