I tried out the new beta 64-bit release for the Mac OS X. On my Powerbook
(2.33 ghz, Core 2 Duo, 3 gig), sadly, performance leaves a lot to be desired still.

Here are my bench numbers:

>> bench

ans =

    0.0899 0.2568 0.1678 0.3862 0.8195 1.5147


I can't understand why the graphics routine is *so* slow. Anyone try this beta?

It seems there is an issue with Matlab on 64bit machines.
