Hi,
Function interp2 has a 'spline' option. Function griddata has a 'v4' option, which is biharmonic spline interpolation.

Then, this polynomial can be evaluated at some point of interest using ppval. Due to ppval, someone can employ the quad function on this pp, for example, in order to do numerical integration. My question is: Is it possible to achieve something similar in two dimensions, i.e. is there 2D analogue to spline/pchip and, then, ppval, for an application in dblquad?
