I don't know of any examples that use Simulink and Genetic Algorithm and
Direct Search Toolbox together, but you should be able to adapt this example
using LSQNONLIN to use GA instead:

Hi,

I have similar case where I need to use my SIMULINK Model as an Objective Function that is to be minimized.

I checked the link but the documentations don't seem to be there any more. Can you update the link please.

As we release different versions of our products, the older documentation
links may break. If both the link in the previous message in this thread
and the one in this message break, search for "Simulink LSQNONLIN" and you
should find the appropriate link early in the search results.

I've also entered an enhancement request to have a demo or an example in the
documentation that uses Genetic Algorithm and Direct Search Toolbox
functions to optimize a Simulink model.
