hi folks,

i am writing some data into an excel sheet.i am taking images from a folder one by one and doing some processing.along with this processing i am also writing the name of the image file into an excel sheet.

now, initially i saved the image file names into an array and after the whole thing, for all the images was over, i would write into an excel sheet. this happened ok.

but, writing individually i am not getting good results. what is happening is the last thingy that i intend to write is getting written and nothing else. is there a way i can write data into the same excel sheet one by one and not in one single stretch.

cheers,
vinod.

I would rather go with your first option. Not because the second one doesn't work, but because it is very time consuming. If you still want to write items one by one, pls provide us with lines of your code. I do not know why it fails in your case. It works for me. For example,

>> xlswrite('Book3.xls',2,'Sheet1','A1:A1')
>> xlswrite('Book3.xls',3,'Sheet1','A2:A2')

does what it is supposed to do. Try it. Did it work? Did you close the worksheet before attempting to write into it?
