Dear list,

I have a problem displaying (large) text in a figure window under Linux:
text(0, 0.5, 'Hello!', 'FontSize', 40);

The font looks ragged. However, under Windows the font looks nice and smooth. When exported the figure to EPS and viewing with a postscript viewer, the font looks nice as well (under Linux), so I guess there is a problem with the font antialiasing in figure windows. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance!
