Centre point of a curved path?

Subject: Centre point of a curved path?

Hello,
I have a vector A representing a 2D path containing with a 90? smooth turn.

Size (A) = 10000, 2
It may look like this:

    .. ---------------
..
|
|
|

I want to find the exact middle point of the curved portion of the path (or in other words geometrical centre of the arc/curve)

The points may not be geometrically equally separated. Thus approach to count the curve points and take the middle point may not work.

Any idea please, how can I do this?
Thanks
Smar

A suggestion. With 10000 points, they must be quite closely-spaced together, in which case the arc lengths are closely approximated by chord lengths of the connecting segments. Find the half-way point in total chord length for the curved portion.
