Another group I belong to discuss this topic about 6 months ago. At
that time the conclusion was Nvidia's GPU only did single precision
floating point math. If things haven't changed in 6 months then it
appears the performance gain of a GPU is over rated.

you can try our Freeware library GPUmat from http://www.gp-you.org. GPUmat enables Matlab code to run on GPUs. Check the documentation to find out how many features we have implemented.
