I use umfpack2() to factorize a matrix:
[L,U,P,Q] = umfpack2 (A) ;
In my problem, P and Q are alway constant even when A is purturbed.
Therefore, the most economic way is to get P and Q only one time out of umfpack2()and then, pass P and Q to umfpack2(). In such a way, I can reduce some computation tasks. Can we do this? Could you give me some suggestions?
In my problem, METIS also works better than AMD, but there seems to be no way to use METIS along with umfpack2(). If anyone already modifiied the original routines, could tou post them?

Thanks a lots for all helps.
