There was a discussion in this group concerning a problem of command window covered by a figure window, while there was a prompt waiting for an input from keyboard. There were several recommendations given for bringing the command window in front, however, no one solved the poblem. Commad window remained hidden.

I have found a solution by chance: Put the command 'drawnow' just before the command 'input'. The command window appears just like in the example:

fig(5); % full screen window (FEX Id 9035
peaks;
drawnow
a=input('a = ')

I may nor guarantee that it work always, however, it solved my problem.
Maybe that this information helps to others.
